Estibot

Estibot is one of the oldest automated appraisal services, and for a long time the one everybody quoted. Type in a domain and it returns a dollar figure built from search volume, cost per click, extension, length, comparable sales and its own models.

It's useful for what it is. Running a list of five hundred expiring names through it will sort the obvious junk from the names worth a second look faster than you can. It's also the source of the "Estibot value" you see on a lot of listings and drop lists.

It is not a price. Nobody has ever paid an Estibot figure because it was the Estibot figure, and a seller who quotes one as if it were an appraisal from a broker is telling you they haven't sold many domains. Use it as a screen, not a sticker.
