Domain Lease

An arrangement where a domain owner allows another party to use a domain name for a recurring fee without transferring ownership. Leasing provides the owner with ongoing income while retaining the asset, and gives the lessee access to a premium domain without the full purchase cost. Lease-to-own options are also common.
