Liquid Domain

A liquid domain is one you can turn into cash in days, not years, because other investors will buy it at a known floor. Three-letter .coms, four-number .coms, most short numerics and some two-word generics fall in this group. There's enough trade in them that the going rate is public and a buyer is always around.

That's the opposite of the typical domain, which sells to exactly one end user at some unknown point in the future, if ever. A liquid name has a bid. An ordinary name has a hope.

Liquidity is worth paying for, but it isn't free money. Wholesale prices for these names move with the market, and they've had brutal years. What you're buying is the ability to get out, not a guarantee of the price when you do.
